Career & Volunteer Fair

Career & Volunteer Fair – October 8, 2014 from 3-7:00pm

Tompkins Workforce New York, New York JSEC, United Way of Tompkins County, and The Shops at Ithaca Mall are partnering to co-host the 2014 Career & Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Shops at Ithaca Mall, 40 Catherwood Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850. 

Job seekers will have access to employers and organizations seeking talented candidates in many industry areas, from hospitality and health care to retail, finance, education, communications, technology and management. These positions range from entry level to professional. Businesses will have the opportunity to meet and recruit qualified applicants with the skills, education and experiences needed for current hiring needs. 

Businesses attending the event will be listed on the Workforce New York website;  http://tompkinscountyny.gov/wfny and many of the jobs will be posted on the New York Department of Labor jobs website; http://newyork.us.jobs.

Local non-profit organizations will participate to seek out local talent to assist them in with a variety of programs and projects. For job-seekers, it is a way to gain valuable connections and skills.
