Christopher & Banks Giving Back to the Community through Charity Drives Nationwide
Minneapolis, MN October 1, 2010 – Christopher & Banks and CJ Banks to promote charity drives in all stores nationwide October 18-24, 2010.
“Giving back to the community is important to us and is also something that our customers are passionate about” says Lorna Nagler, President and CEO. “To make this event more meaningful on a local level, Store Managers were asked to select a charity that was important to their community. We will be partnering with our customers in support of those local charities by accepting donations from the community October 18-24. Store discounts will be offered to those making donations to the designated charity.”
“When I came to Christopher & Banks, we were giving back to the community primarily through the National MS Society and the local Lifeworks Program,” says Lorna Nagler. “Another initiative that we support is education. In addition to supporting the MS Scholarship Fund, we established the Christopher & Banks Teacher Scholarship Program in 2009; supporting students who wish to pursue a career in education. I want to continue to find ways we might support and leverage the essence of who we are in the communities we are a part of. I believe that through our involvement on a local level, we can begin to make a difference.”
