National Poppies Aid Local War Veterans

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 961 and war veterans nationwide are working to raise money for local veterans and their families.  VFW Post 961 in Ithaca is selling silk-like Buddy Poppies at The Shops at Ithaca Mall May 28th-29th from Noon until 6:00pm.  Buddy Poppies are assembled by disabled and needy veterans in VA hospitals across the country.  Sales support the National VFW organization, VFW state programs, and local VFW posts like Dryden Township Post 8158 and Tioughnioga Post 2354 in Cortland.
