No Tricks, Many Treats at Family Day
Families are invited to trick-or-treating and fun activities at the Mall-oween Parade and Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27 at The Shops at Ithaca Mall, with Parade registration open through Friday, October 26. Children in costume can start lining up with a responsible adult for the Parade at 10:30 am in front of Niki’s Party Place, and the Parade begins at 11:00 am. Children with their adults will parade through the whole interior of the Mall, receiving candy from all participating stores.
Registration for the Parade is available at the Customer Service Desk by Ultimate Athletics, and the cost is $2 per child. For each child registered, families will automatically receive one entry in a raffle to win either a $100 Mall Gift Card or a $50 Mary Kay basket. Each registered child will receive one specially-marked Mall-oween bag. The Mall-oween bags are the tickets to this Parade, and families need to bring them.
The Fall Festival will be held from Noon-2 pm immediately after the Mall-oween Parade, and is free and open to the public. Tops Markets will offer small pumpkins with a table for children and adults to decorate their pumpkins; the pumpkins are $1 each. Smart Yogurt will offer free samples of frozen yogurt complete with a candy buffet for toppings. Gertrude Hawk will offer a special two-hour sale of their caramel and chocolate apples two for $10. Other businesses and non-profit groups will also host activities for children and families.
All children must be registered to participate in the Parade. For more information, visit www.theshopsatithacamall.com or call (607)257-5337.
