Triax Management Group is taking Pyramid Mall Ithaca Green

(April 11, 2007- Ithaca, NY) Triax Management Group is in the process of taking Pyramid Mall Ithaca, located in the Southern Tier region of New York, green. With the city of Ithaca recently being named the number two ‘Best Green City’ in the United States by Country Home Magazine, in conjuction with Sperling’s BestPlaces, Triax’s Eric Goetzmann sees this as the perfect time to move forward with plans to make the premier retail and entertainment development totally green.

“We are undergoing a major transition for Pyramid Mall Ithaca”, said Goetzmann. “We are a new management company operating the mall, with a new philosophy. We have a new general manager in Gina Speno, who oversaw the rejuvenation of Fingerlakes Mall, and soon we will reveal a new name for the mall. All of this synergy makes it a great time to announce our intentions to make Pyramid Mall Ithaca a green mall.”

“We are one of the largest users of electricity in Ithaca, and going forward we want to become more user-friendly in our community. It is our intention to set a good example for our shoppers and encourage everyone in the community to participate. We began the process with something simple that everyone can do, using only green cleaning products in our shopping center.”
